Gencor’s pomegranate and cacao blend boosts aging men’s sexual health, experts reveal
Gencor’s proprietary blend of Theobroma cacao seed and Punica granatum pomegranate peel, dubbed Tesnor, can boost testosterone levels in men, according to recent research. Developed to support aging male sexual function, Gencor says the clinical trial highlights Tesnor’s ability to improve several aspects of male well-being
According to the company, male testosterone levels naturally decline by approximately 0.4% to 2% per year after the age of 30. This decline impacts key physiological functions, including sexual performance, libido, muscle mass, bone density, metabolic balance, and psychological health.
Testosterone also plays a crucial role in the male reproductive system, supporting sexual desire, sperm health, and overall vitality. Addressing this hormonal decline has become a growing focus within the men’s health industry as individuals seek solutions to maintain their well-being as they age.
“The cacao seed has long been used in traditional Indian medicine to promote sexual health, while pomegranate is recognized as a powerful antioxidant that supports blood flow and sexual function,” says Ramasamy Venkatesh, co-founder and managing director at Gencor. “Tesnor, our proprietary blend, is clinically proven to boost testosterone levels.”
Proven efficacy
Gencor notes that Tesnor can elevate serum testosterone levels in both younger and aging males. However, this latest study, published in the International Journal of Medical Sciences, assesses its impact specifically on sexual function in men aged 40 to 70 with serum total testosterone levels of at least 300 ng/dL.
The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involved 120 male participants who were randomly assigned to receive either 400 mg of Tesnor or a matching placebo each morning over 84 days. The researchers evaluated Tesnor’s effects on sexual function in men with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction and low sexual desire.
According to the study, participants taking Tesnor reported improvements in sexual function and erection hardness. They also saw notable improvements in fatigue, general health, six-minute walk distance, and hand-grip strength compared to the placebo group. They also report improved neuromotor function.
“The results of this study further demonstrate Tesnor’s effectiveness in enhancing men’s health just beyond serum testosterone levels to showing improved sexual health in aging males,” Venkatesh underscores.
Improving health for aging men
Gencor states that these results reinforce the growing body of evidence supporting the plant-based testosterone booster as an effective, natural alternative for maintaining male health.
Moreover, the company emphasizes that Tesnor offers versatility for product applications, including capsules, tablets, ready-to-mix powders, softgels, and gummies.
