Olly expands women’s health portfolio with Mellow Menopause supplement
Olly launches Mellow Menopause, the company’s first product to support menopause and provide “multi-symptom management for hot flashes, night sweats, mood, fatigue and sleep.” The company’s latest addition to its women’s health line is supported by a clinical trial supporting the ingredients’ efficacy and innovation.
The new supplements are formulated with EstroG-100, a proprietary, clinically studied botanical blend to help relieve symptoms, and the brain’s primary inhibitory neurotransmitter, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), to reduce the effects of mental stress and support mental relaxation.
In addition, Olly set up a company-wide Menopause Support Policy — including flexible working hours and designated rest areas — designed to help its employees through menopause and associated challenges.
“Menopause is a stage of life all women will experience, yet we’re offered very little education or support on the topic,” comments Dr. Shikha Snigdha, Olly’s senior director of scientific affairs.
“Our approach to developing Mellow Menopause was guided by a commitment to addressing the unique and varied symptoms women experience during menopause. The goal was to create an offering that provides comprehensive relief during the menopause transition, making this often-challenging phase of life a bit easier to navigate.”
Menopause management
Innova Market Insights data indicates that supplement launches with menopause claims grew +15% year-over-year between April 2022–March 2023 and April 2023–March 2024. Key positionings include brain-mood health, bone health, energy & stamina and skin health.
On World Menopause Day, Kerry Proactive Health told Nutrition Insight that Kerry’s Health and Nutrition Institute estimates that up to a billion women will be in menopause by 2025, of which 80% will experience symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbance, mood swings and sexual health issues.
To address common menopause symptoms, women increasingly seek natural alternatives to invasive, traditionally prescribed Hormone Replacement Therapy. Products include SAMe formulations, biotics, fibers, plant-based solutions and ingredients optimized for bioavailability.

Regular use is linked to additional benefits, including support in reducing night sweats, managing fatigue and irritability and relieving occasional headaches associated with menopause.
The product is hormone-free, gluten-free, soy-free, estrogen-free, drug-free and certified vegan, with no added flavors or sweeteners.
Employee health benefit policy
Olly’s Menopause Support Policy aims to support all employees experiencing menopause symptoms that can impact work life, similar to experiences like pregnancy or caregiving commonly recognized in the workplace. It also supports partners dealing with menopause-associated challenges.
The policy includes flexible work hours, where employees can adjust online hours to accommodate for lack of sleep, take additional breaks during the day for mental and physical relief, or temporarily reduce hours to support physical or mental needs due to menopause symptoms.
Moreover, it includes additional work-from-home accommodation when symptoms are particularly challenging and in-office arrangements to make employees more comfortable, such as access to a quiet wellness room or adjusted seating to ease hot flashes.
Employees also get access to extended reproductive care benefits that encompass menopause through experts.
“At Olly, we believe that we can only ask our community to get real about taboo topics like menopause if we first do that internally,” concludes Hanneke Willenborg, Olly’s CEO. “By offering this policy, our goal is to not only support employees but create open conversations about menopause in our office and with our community. As someone going through menopause, it’s even more important to me that Olly is leading the way in this space.”
