Black Girl Vitamins commemorates Juneteenth with roots and heritage embracing campaign
Black Girl Vitamins (BGV) has launched a campaign for Black women in honor of Juneteenth, a US commemoration of the abolition of slavery and the end of the US Civil War.
The “Nourishing Our Roots” campaign urges Black women to reflect on their heritage and prioritize wellness. The brand has placed its Collagen Powder and Once a Day Vitamin on sale, and they are available in limited-edition packaging, which includes commemorative pins, satin bonnets, pill cases, and unique Juneteenth postcards.
BGV says the campaign’s theme seeks to encourage Black women’s roots, which it notes are increasingly at risk of erasure. It encourages women to prioritize their wellness as it helps boost health in a world that “often fails to prioritize them.”
Reflecting on the US political climate, BGV states that Juneteenth is more than a holiday. Instead, it is symbolic of cultural preservation. Through its campaign, BGV wants to remind its audience of its power, rich heritage, and the importance of well-being that is found in Black communities.
Versatile ingredients for everyday use
The Collagen Powder is made to be versatile, dissolving in seconds and blending with any meal, says BGV. It can be easily mixed with food for daily nutrition, and the brand encourages its customers to mix it with cultural foods to enrich their bodies with added protein.

The powder is also designed to promote joint health, enhance bone strength, and improve skin elasticity.
BGV says its Once a Day Vitamin is also made to provide daily nutritional support and is easy to add to routines. With over eight micronutrients, the vitamin helps with growth, mood, health, and well-being. Additionally, the supplement boosts the immune system, improves energy levels, and is fully vegan.
The sale lasts until June 22. BGV will reveal a brand photo shoot with a 90s cookout theme, which authentically represents Black culture, joy, and community.
