Webinar preview: How RelaxPLX Delivers non-drowsy, science-backed rest and wellness
As consumer demand for holistic wellbeing solutions continues to rise, sleep and stress support remain two of the fastest-growing segments in the functional ingredients space. Increasingly, formulators are seeking science-backed, natural compounds that address these needs without unwanted side effects or reliance on synthetic interventions.
Monteloeder spotlights RelaxPLX as a next generation of ingredient innovation that offers clinically studied support for deep, restorative sleep, balanced cortisol levels, and improved emotional resilience. According to the company, its benefits extend beyond adults to adolescents, making it a versatile option for brands developing products across multiple life stages.
Moreover, Monteloeder reveals that for manufacturers of sleep aids, calming blends, or mood-support supplements, RelaxPLX provides a flexible and evidence-based solution that aligns with evolving consumer expectations for natural, safe, and effective wellness products.
Ahead of its upcoming webinar, “From deep sleep to daily balance: The natural support of RelaxPLX,” Nutrition Insight sits down with Stephanie Guillen, the chief commercial officer at Suannutra, a subsidiary of Monteloeder, to discuss how manufacturers of sleep aids, calming blends, and mood-support supplements, can utilize RelaxPLX as a flexible and evidence-based solution that meets the evolving consumer expectations for natural, safe, and effective wellness products.
“RelaxPLX works in harmony with the body,” Guillen says. “It boosts the body’s own melatonin production at night, supports healthy cortisol balance, and supports calming pathways through GABA receptors.”
“While melatonin mainly helps people fall asleep, RelaxPLX focuses on sleep quality and continuity — helping people stay asleep, rest deeper, and wake up restored. It also supports emotional balance, making it a non-drowsy option that complements melatonin or other relaxation ingredients, which often cause morning grogginess.”Stephanie Guillen, the chief commercial officer at Suannutra, a subsidiary of Monteloeder.
Clinically studied support for restorative sleep
Guillen highlights that RelaxPLX supports the body’s natural regulation by easing stress, balancing melatonin rhythms, and enhancing restorative sleep without sedation. He adds that users wake clear-headed, avoiding grogginess, and notes that its efficacy is validated through questionnaires, biological markers, objective sleep tracking, and independent expert assessments to ensure reliable evidence for its sleep-supporting benefits.
He reveals that a 2022 eight-week placebo-controlled trial in stressed adults with poor sleep showed significant improvements in stress and sleep quality. Cortisol levels dropped, actigraphy confirmed better sleep architecture, and women experienced greater benefits, underscoring RelaxPLX’s potential in female health.
A 2024 90-day trial in healthy adults with occasional sleep issues found RelaxPLX improved sleep efficiency and reduced latency. Blood analyses revealed increased natural melatonin production, confirming circadian rhythm support without next-day drowsiness.
At the same time, a 2023 12-week trial in adolescents aged 12–16 showed RelaxPLX improved sleep quality and reduced stress from the first month. Cortisol dropped 21%, while placebo rose. Independent and parental assessments confirmed notable emotional and sleep benefits.
“This consistency across different groups, supported by objective measures, is rare in the sleep category,” Guillen explains.
Solutions for all ages with synergistic blends
Looking at how brands may choose to position RelaxPLX in their portfolios and formulations, Guillen points out that three distinct strategies emerge. Some brands may opt for a family SKU promoted as a “non-drowsy, natural solution for calm and sleep quality,” supported by evidence in both adults and teens.RelaxPLX also performed well with adolescents and teens. Others might pursue more targeted SKUs.
“For stressed professionals: restorative sleep and morning clarity,” he notes. For women in peri- and post-menopause: support for fragmented sleep and mood balance.”
“For teenagers, there is a huge opportunity, since up to 40% of teens struggle with sleep, and parents are increasingly cautious with melatonin. RelaxPLX also offers a natural, clinically validated solution for this group, filling a gap in the market.”
He also spotlights that RelaxPLX complements other natural ingredients effectively. Pairing it with melatonin aids sleep onset, magnesium or L-theanine enhances relaxation, and botanicals like saffron or lemon balm support mood and stress balance. He adds that in formulation combinations, RelaxPLX provides a foundation for restorative, non-drowsy sleep.
“Today, people want more than falling asleep quickly,” Guillen concludes. “They want to sleep well, stay asleep, and wake up feeling good.”
“RelaxPLX is unique because it delivers on all three, backed by strong science — biological markers, sleep tracking, and expert validation. It is a natural, non-drowsy solution that works across generations.”
