“Convenience is becoming a big thing, which is why we are looking into more functional foods aspects, as they make it convenient for consumers to get their nutrients. In terms of what consumers are looking for in types of benefits, we are really focusing on broader view of consumer lifestyles as it relates to the active consumer who wants to live healthy and wants to age healthy,” Brian Appell, Market Development Manager at OmniActive, tells NutritionInsight at Vitafoods Europe.
